Night Sky Blanket 밤하늘 이불을 덮고 자다.
밤하늘의 별자리를 수놓은 이불을 만들어 어디든 들고 다니다가 덮고 잔다는 상상을 현실화 시켜보았습니다. 세미원, 중미산 천문대, 들꽃 수목원 등, 양평 곳곳을 다니며 밤하늘 이불을 덮고 자는 어린 아이의 모습을 사진으로 담았습니다. 풀밭을 설치하고 밤하늘 이불 작품을 깔고 감상자들이 누워 볼 수 있도록 하였습니다. 그리고 밤에 들을 수 있는 풀벌레 소리를 채집하여 틀어 놓았습니다.
Wash ear with the sound of nature 자연의 소리로 귀를 씻다.
소음과 거친 말들로 상처 입은 귀를 자연의 소리로 치유해주는 설치 작품입니다. 지름 130cm의 부드럽고 푹신한 원형 방석 위에 귀를 그리고 그 귀에서 꽃과 나무가 자라나고 새, 나비, 풀벌레들이 와서 노래하는 모습을 아름다운 색실들로 수놓았습니다. 감상자들은 그 방석에 앉아 헤드폰을 끼고 자연에서 체집한 새소리, 풀벌레소리, 바람소리들을 듣게 됩니다.
이어지는 공간에 귀를 물로 씻어 치유해 주는 Healing place를 설치했습니다. 테이블에 물을 담은 대야, 수건, 비누, 물병, 물티슈, 면봉 등이 놓여있습니다. 감상자들은 벽에 붙여 놓은 짧은 안내문을 따라 귀를 물로 씻거나 면봉으로 닦아낼 수 있습니다. 또한 귀를 은유하는 오브제인 소라를 귀에 대고 바다의 소리를 듣기도 합니다.

Sleep with the night sky blanket
I made a blanket and embroidered the constellations of the night. I imagined that I would carry that night sky blanket anywhere and cover it up and sleep. I took pictures of a little girl sleeping under that night sky blanket, at the Semiwon(lotus garden), Jungmisan Observatory, and the Wildflower gardens. And I set up the grass, laid the night sky blanket on it, and let the viewer lie down. And I collected the sounds of insects that I could hear at night and played them.
Wash one's ears with the sounds of nature
Our ears are easily hurt by noise and harsh words. This installation is to heal the wounded ears with the sounds of nature. I made a round cushion 130 cm in diameter and embroidered a ear where flowers and trees growing out of, where birds, butterflies, insets are taking rest and singing . The viewers will hear the natural sounds of birds, insects and the wind sitting on the cushions with headphones on.
In the following space, Healing Place is installed to wash ears with water and heal them. There are water containing basin, towel, soap, water bottle, watershoot, cotton swab. The viewer can follow the simple instruction posted on the wall to wash the ears with water or to wipe off with a cotton swab. Also, they listen to the sound of the sea through sea shell that metaphor the ear.
